The Perfect Yarn for this Beanie:

For my basic beanies I always use worsted weight (4) yarn.  Any brand of worsted weight yarn is fine, but as you’re shopping you will notice that not all worsted weight yarns are not made equally. Some worsted weights are thinner than others. Keep this in mind when shopping for your yarn and try to stay away from thin worsted weight yarns for this project.

Basic Beanie

Materials needed:

  • US J/10 6.00mm hook
  • Medium worsted weight yarn (Yarn Bee Soft Secret)
  • Yarn needle

Guage

  • 4 dc stitches=1”
  • 2 dc rows=1’
  • I tend to crochet tight. If your guage doesn’t match, just go down a hook size.
